Making a pinwheel sandwich couldn’t be easier. Make yours in simple steps!
- Step 1 – Select the exterior (a soft tortilla or sandwich bread works best).
- Step 2 – Prep the ingredients you want to put inside.
- Step 3 – Roll everything into a “pinwheel”, making sure not to roll too tightly that it breaks but tightly enough that it doesn’t fall apart.
- Step 4 – Slice the role width wise.

3 of our favorite pinwheel sandwiches! You can easily make these mozzarella pinwheels, sun dried tomato pinwheels and artichoke pinwheels at home.
Ingredients
For the mozzarella pinwheels
- 1 soft tortilla
- 1/4 cup of cream cheese
- 1 ball of mozzarella (sliced)
- 1 marinated red pepper (sliced)
- Salt and black pepper
- Olive oil
- Optional : honey mustard
For the sun dried tomato pinwheels
- 1/4 cup cream cheese
- 2 tbsp of olive oil
- 1 tbsp of Parmesan
- 10 fresh basil leaves
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 pinch of black pepper
- 8 sundried tomatoes
- 1 soft tortilla
For the artichoke pinwheels
- 1 soft tortilla
- 5 marinated artichokes (sliced)
- 1/4 cup of cream cheese
- 1 pinch of salt
Instructions
For the mozzarella pinwheels
- Cover the soft tortilla with cream cheese.
- Add the sliced mozzarella.
- Add the sliced red peppers.
- Add a drizzle of olive oil and salt and pepper to taste.
- If adding honey mustard, now is the time to add a dollop.
- Wrap tightly enough to keep everything together, but not so tightly that you break the soft tortilla.
For the sun dried tomato pinwheels
- Cover the soft tortilla with cream cheese.
- Add basil leaves and Parmesan.
- Add sun dried tomatoes.
- Top with a drizzle of olive oil and salt and pepper to taste.
- Wrap tightly enough to keep everything together, but not so tightly that you break the soft tortilla.
For the artichoke pinwheels
- Cover the soft tortilla with cream cheese.
- Add the sliced, marinated artichokes.
- Top with a drizzle of olive oil and salt and pepper to taste.
