Description

Tasty French brown butter financiers are the perfect treat! Almond flour, hazelnut flour, flour, sugar, powdered vanilla, egg whites and butter come together to make these soft-on-the-inside, firm-on-the-outside bites of deliciousness.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/4 cup of almond flour
  • 1/4 cup of hazelnut flour
  • 2 tbsp of flour 
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1/4 tsp of powdered vanilla 
  • 2 egg whites 
  • 2 tbsp of butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. Heat the butter until it starts to turn brown.
  3. Put the butter aside and leave to cool.
  4. Mix the flours, sugar and vanilla in the bowl of your stand mixer and mix using the paddle attachment.
  5. Add the egg whites, one by one, while mixing.
  6. Add the browned butter and mix to incorporate.
  7. Butter a financier mold.
  8. Fill the financier mold with the batter.
  9. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

Special tools :
Financier Mold

If you can’t find salted butter where you are, you can use regular butter for this recipe and just add a pinch of salt with the dry ingredients.
