What is a wine bar?
A Parisian wine bar is a relaxed restaurant serving a wide variety of wine by the glass and small bites. Paris and good wine go hand-in-hand, so make sure you add at least one wine bar (or several) to your Paris bucket list.

Le Baron Rouge
Le Baron is a Parisian institution!
Hugo and I have been going to Le Baron Rouge since the beginning of our relationships in 2013 and he and his friends were going there even a few years before that. It’s one of our favorite places in all of Paris.
Head here for oysters and wine. On warm days, the place is packed and people pour out onto the street, eating oysters and sipping wine on the top of garbage bins and parked cars. It’s always a great time!
Address : 1 rue Théophile Roussel 75012 Paris
Causeries
Part coffee shop, part wine bar, this adorable little spot in the Marais is the perfect place to go for a glass of wine.
I used to live down the street from here many years ago. The facade hasn’t changed, but the space changed from a traditional restaurant into a cofee shop-wine bar when the space changed hands in —.
Address : 19 rue du Parc Royal 75003 Paris
Verjus Bar à Vins
If you love Paris, you’ve probably heard of Verjus. This is their wine bar next door!
Located close to the Louvre, this tiny wine bar offers a nice selection of wine by the glass (hand-scribbled on the ardoise for extra charm!) and creative bites.
Address : 47 rue de Montpensier 75001 Paris
Les Amoureuses
I have a soft spot for Les Amoureuses because I used to live on this street and have been going to this wine bar for many, many years, since before it changed hands (and names).
Address : 3 rue des Tournelles 75004 Paris
Le Willi’s Wine Bar
Opened by Brit Mark Williamson in 1980, Willi’s in one of the legendary wine bars in Paris.
The selection of wine is fabulous, the bites on offer delicious, and the space is infused with history. More than a few household names have spent time at Willi’s, including Colette, Omar Sharif, and Jean Cocteau to name a few!
As total dog people, we love that the mascott of the bar is the owner’s former pup, Willi.
Each year Willi’s Wine Bar releases a beautiful special edition poster which would make a wonderful, authentic Parisian souvenir to bring home from your time in Paris.
The central location of this wine bar steps away from the Palais Royal is perfect too.
Address : 13 rue des Petits Champs 75001 Paris
La Cave du Paul Bert
This wine bar offers a great selection of wine, delicious bites and a hopping ambiance.
Tasty snacks include truffle deviled eggs, terrine de campagne and oysters from Brittany.
La Cave du Paul Bert is quite small, so best to arrive early if you want to find a spot!
Address : 16 rue Paul Bert 75011 Paris
Folderol
Wine with a side of ice cream? It sounds weird but it actually works! The olive oil ice cream is a crowd favorite, so if they have it the day you visit, make sure you try a scoop or bring some home for later.
Address : 10 rue du Grand Prieuré 75011 Paris
Freddy’s
Located near Saint Germain, this cozy spot has a vibrant wine list and a refined selection of tasty bites. The zucchini fritters are the star of the show here, along with the excellent wine list.
Address : 54 Rue de Seine 75006 Paris
Le Vin en Bouche
Located in the 6th arrondissement, this wine bar focuses on a selection of wine from smaller wine producers. The selection of wine is excellent and they also offer a tasty selection of small treats. There are also a few main courses to choose from if you want a more substantial dinner with your wine.
Address : 27 rue de l’Abbé Grégoire 75006 Paris
Ambassade de Bourgogne
Ambassade de Bourgogne has an extensive wine list – by the glass and by the bottle – from all over France.
Go there to try a variety of wines from all over the country in a chic and relaxed ambiance.
Address : 6 rue de l’Odéon 75006 Paris
