Description

This fresh take on a breakfast classic will make you happy and leave you wanting more. Perfect for a romantic Saturday morning. This recipe could not be easier and it really hits the spot!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 mini stale croissants
  • 1 egg
  • 7 oz. of milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla sugar
  • Butter (to grease the frying pan)
  • White powdered sugar (to serve)
  • Maple syrup (to serve)

Instructions

  1. Keep croissants at least overnight (2 nights is even better) until stale and firm.
  2. Use a large glass bowl to mix egg, milk and vanilla sugar.
  3. Use large metal kitchen tweezers to dip croissants in egg mixture continuously until well covered.
  4. Grease frying a non-stick frying pan with butter.
  5. Use kitchen tweezers to place each croissant in a large non-stick frying pan.
  6. Cook on each side until golden brown on both sides (approximately 3 minutes on each side).
  7. Drizzle your favorite maple syrup over your French toast.
  8. Add a generous amount of white powdered sugar over your french toast.
  9. Et voilà, croissant french toast!
