Sourdough Naan

Description

Sourdough naan is a tasty and healthy way to use your sourdough discard. It is soft and fluffy and easy to make.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 + 2/3 cup (200g) of flour
  • 1/6 cup of sourdough
  • 1/3 cup (80g) of lukewarm water
  • 1/4 cup of yogurt
  • 1 tbsp of olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp of salt
  • 1/2 tsp of baking powder
  • 1 tbsp of olive oil
  • 4 tsp of butter

Instructions

  1. Pour the yogurt and oil into the bowl of your stand mixer.
  2. Add the flour, salt, baking powder and water and mix with the hook attachment.
  3. Pour in the sourdough and mix for 10 minutes.
  4. Cover with a clean dish towel and leave to sit for an hour.
  5. Cut the dough into 8 parts.
  6. Roll out each ball of dough on a floured surface.
  7. Heat a frying pan with olive oil on medium heat.
  8. Heat each naan between 1 and 2 minutes each side.
  9. Top each naan with butter.
