Description
Japanese scallops with leeks and miso are a simple dinner, bursting with flavor and rich in nutrients. 10 ingredients and 30 minutes is all you need!

- 6 scallops
- 3 leeks
- 1tsp of fennel seeds
- 1/2 tsp of chili
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1,5 cup of water
- 1 miso cube
- 1 tsp of sesame seeds
- 20 squares of nori (1/2 inch)
- Olive oil
Instructions
- Cut the (washed) leeks into strips like tagliatelle pasta.
- Heat 1,5 cup of water on high heat with a miso cube until it boils.
- Turn the heat up to medium heat and leave to cook.
- Meanwhile, heat olive oil in a frying pan on medium heat.
- Add the leeks and stir with a wooden spoon.
- Add salt and continue to stir.
- Add a ladle of miso soup in with the leeks.
- Add the fennel seeds and chili pepper.
- Cook until the leeks are well cooked (15 minutes).
- Add black pepper just before serving.
- Heat olive oil in another frying pan on medium heat.
- Add the scallops and cook for a minute on each side.
- Add salt and pepper.
- Top the leek noodles with scallops. Add miso soup, sesame seeds and nori squares before serving.
