Le Meurice is a spectacular palace hotel by the Dorchester Collection. Rooms and suites in this exquisite hotel, in the heart of Paris, have been recently renovated. Le Meurice opened in 1885 under the arches of the rue de Rivoli in the 1st arrondissement of Paris. It had a reputation of being the “hotel des rois”, as many members of the British royal family have stayed there. The opulent Ducasse restaurant and Salon Pompadour were added in 1907 and they are absolutely stunning!
If you choose to stay here (or even if you don’t), you have to make sure to book tea time in the Dali Salon so that you can enjoy the hotel’s beautiful decoration and furnishings and taste Cédric Grolet’s famous trompe-l’oeil pastries.

Le Bristol
I had the intense joy of staying at Le Bristol over Easter one year and it was a dream. The hotel is exactly what you would expect from a French palace – refined, sophisticated and beautiful. If you are a foodie traveler, you may want to take advantage of your stay to dine at the 3 Michelin star restaurant, Epicure and taste Eric Frechon’s fresh French dishes.
I used to live around the corner from Le Bristol in the 8th arrondissement, and it is one of my favorite neighborhoods in Paris. It is chic, safe, beautiful, peaceful and close enough to the heart of Paris to be able to walk to most places you want to go like the Louvre, the Palais Royal Gardens, the Tuileries, Hermès, Pierre Hermé…
