Jerk Shrimp Pasta (Shrimp Rasta Pasta)

Jerk shrimp pasta, or Shrimp Rasta Pasta, is the dreamy, decadent, creamy pasta recipe you’ve been craving! It’s made with dried pasta, shrimp, Jerk seasoning, garlic, peppers, Worcester sauce, cream cheese, parmesan and thyme and it’s so, so good. Jerk Shrimp Pasta Ingredients

  • Jerk seasoning
  • Scallion
  • Fresh garlic
  • Red bell pepper
  • Green bell pepper
  • Yellow bell pepper
  • Worcester sauce
  • Thyme
  • Cream cheese
  • Parmesan
  • Dried pasta

How to Make Jerk Shrimp Pasta

  • Step 1 – Mix the shrimp with 2 teaspoons of jerk seasoning and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • Step 2 – Add a tablespoon of olive oil and cook the scallions with a pinch of salt for 2 minutes.
  • Step 3 – Add the garlic and a teaspoon of jerk seasoning and cook for another minute. Reduce the heat.
  • Step 4 – Add the bell peppers and cook for 10 minutes.
  • Step 5 – Add the shrimp and cook for another 3 minutes.
  • Step 6 – Add the Worcester sauce and thyme and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Step 7 – Mix the cream cheese and parmesan in a bowl.
  • Step 8 – Meanwhile, cook the pasta according to the instructions on the package.
  • Step 9 – Pour a ladle of the pasta water into the cream cheese and parmesan mixture and stir.
  • Step 10 – Turn up the heat to high heat.
  • Step 11 – Pour the cream cheese and parmesan mixture and the pasta into a frying pan and cook for everything together for another minute.

How to Serve Jamaican Shrimp Rasta Pasta

We typically serve all our pasta dishes in bowls, although you could absolutely serve this dish on a plate if you prefer. We bought our white and black bowls here in Paris but you can find similar ones on Etsy. We love these speckled pasta bowls from an independent seller on Etsy. She makes these larger pasta bowls as well.

What to Serve on the Side

  • Green salad
  • Steamed veggies like broccoli, asparagus or cauliflower

Creamy and decadent, shrimp rasta pasta is a delicious pasta dish made with dried pasta, shrimp, Jerk seasoning, thyme, cream cheese, red peppers, green peppers and yellow peppers.

Description

Creamy decadent and delicious Jerk shrimp pasta made with penne, shrimp, cream cheese, Jerk seasoning, red pepper, green pepper, yellow peppers and thyme!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 lbs of shrimp
  • 3 tsp of jerk seasoning
  • 1 scallion
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1/2 red bell pepper
  • 1/2 green bell pepper
  • 1/2 yellow bell pepper
  • 1 tsp of Worcester sauce
  • 1 tsp of thyme 
  • 1/4 cup of cream cheese 
  • 2 tbsp of parmesan
  • 1/3 lb of dried pasta

Instructions

  1. Mix 2 teaspoons of Jerk seasoning into the shrimp and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

  10. Turn up the heat to high heat.
  11. Pour the cream cheese and parmesan mixture and the pasta into a frying pan and cook for everything together for another minute.

Notes

  • Make sure to use a high quality Jerk seasoning like this one for maximum flavor.
