Garlic and oil pasta includes a handful of really simple ingredients. Yup, you guessed it, garlic and oil pasta requires garlic, oil and pasta! But, it’s more than that… It’s an Italian tradition and it’s about to up level your dinner. We also added red chilli flakes for a little spice, pine nuts, a sprinkle of fresh parsley and grated parmesan cheese to make this recipe even more delicious.
Tips to make olive oil pasta
- To make perfectly al dente pasta, make sure you cook the pasta for one minute less than the time on the box. It will cook for another minute once you add the other ingredients into he frying pan.
- Using a high quality olive oil will also provide a better meal with maximum flavor.
- Generously cover with pine nuts because pine nuts are everything.

Description
Garlic and oil pasta is a simple, tasty Italian dinner that requires a handful of basic ingredients : spaghetti, olive oil, garlic, pine nuts, parsley and red chilli flakes.
Ingredients
- 1/3 lbs of spaghetti
- 2 cloves of garlic (finely sliced)
- 1/2 tsp of red pepper flakes
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp pine nuts
- 2 tbsp parsley (chopped)
- Parmesan (grated)
- Salt
Instructions
- Cook the spaghetti for one minute less than indicated on the package.
- (The spaghetti will cook for an extra minute in the frying pan later.)
- Meanwhile, heat a tablespoon of olive oil in a large frying pan on low heat.
- Add the garlic and red pepper flakes and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add the spaghetti.
- Add 2 tablespoon of olive oil, pine nuts, parsley and 2 pinches of salt and cook for another minute.
- Top with a general helping of parmesan.
