Chicken Karahi Recipe

Description

Creamy, spicy and delicious – Chicken Karahi is the perfect curry to make for dinner!


Ingredients

Scale

1 Medium onion (chopped)
3 cloves of garlic (crushed)
1 inch of fresh ginger (grated)
1/2 of chicken breast (cubed)
3 medium tomatoes (diced)
1 tsp of coriander powder
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp red hot chilli pepper powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
4 tbsp Greek yogurt
1 tbsp fresh cilantro (chopped)
Olive oil (or ghee)
Salt and ground black pepper to taste


Instructions

Heat a large tablespoon of olive oil or ghee in a casserole on high heat.
Add the onion and cook for 3 minutes.
Add the ginger and garlic and cook for a minute.
Add the chicken and a pinch of salt and cook for 5 minutes.
Add the tomatoes and the spices and cook for a minute.
Lower the heat to low heat, cover and cook for 10 minutes.
Add the yogurt, stir and cook for 3 minutes.
Serve with crushed black pepper and cilantro.
Salt to taste.
