How to make Chicken Karahi Indian style
The Indian version is typically spicier than the Pakistani version since it uses spicy pepper. This recipe more closely resembles the Indian version of the dish than the Pakistani version of the curry.
How to make Chicken Karahi Pakistani style
The Pakistani version doesn’t have onions or spicy pepper.
Make this Chicken Karahi your own by mixing things up a little :
- Cut the spice in two. This Chicken Karahi recipe is very spicy! If you are more sensitive to spice or would like to bring the spice down a notch – just add a 1/2 tsp of chilli pepper rather than a full tsp.
- Swap out fresh cilantro for parsley if you’re not a fan of cilantro – or if you can’t find either at the moment, just leave it off! The spices add plenty of flavor to the curry on their own.
- If you have a traditional karahi, use it by all means! You can absolutely make this dish with a simple casserole though.
What to serve with Chicken Karahi :
This tasty chicken curry is perfect served with rice – white or brown. If you want to make a full Indian feast, serve with :
