This Bayonne Ham Laguiole Cheese & Balsamic Vinegar Tartine is about to elevate your snack break!
Ingredients

- 4 slices of grainy bread
- 3 slices of Bayonne ham
- 2 × 2 inches pieces of laguiole cheese (cutted into small sticks)
- 1 mushroom (peeled and sliced)
- 1/2 onion (sliced)
- 1 tbsp of sugar
- 4 cups of arugula and mache
- 8 walnuts
- Olive oil
- Salt and pepper
- 8 fresh chives (scissored)
- 2 tsp of balsamic vinegar pearls
- Butter
Instructions
Prepare the Bayonne ham chips:
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Cut 1 slice of ham into 4 equal pieces.
- Use parchment paper to cover the baking tray.
- Put the 4 pieces of ham on it and cover with another sheet of parchment paper.
- Place an empty baking dish to hold everything in place and to keep the ham from curling.
- Bake in the oven for 10 minutes.
Prepare the caramelized onion slices:
- Heat the olive oil in a frying pan on medium heat.
- Add the onion and salt and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add sugar and cook until the onion caramelizes (2-3 minutes).
- Put aside.
For each tartine:
- Add butter, arugula, a half slice of ham, cheese sticks, slices of mushroom, caramelized onion slices, 2 walnuts, 2 chives and 1 crispy ham chip to each tartine.
- Drizzle a teaspoon of olive oil on top.
- Add a half teaspoon of balsamic vinegar pearls on top.
