The perfect cheese board

We were inspired by the post Cheese Board Tutorial for Your Winter Holiday Party, written by Jennifer of Take Two Tapas and the “resident dirty dish producer” in her home – as she describes herself. 🙂 We were totally impressed by step-by-step instructions + tips for making your very own holiday party cheeseboard and now we want to make one too!

Perfect waffles

We just discovered Mimi Thorissen’s gorgeous blog, Manger, about French country living, and all the amazing food that goes along with us. We can’t. get. enough. We want to make every one of her recipes on the blog (and in her 2 cookbooks) but we’re going to start with these perfect waffles.

Roasted tomato shrimp + creamy polenta

We love seafood and we love polenta! We especially love this fabulous couple that cooks together… You know, what they say, the couple that cooks together, stays together… Wait, is that how it goes?! We like to think so. 🙂 We are well and truly inspired by this awesome couple at A Couple Cooks to make this roasted shrimp over creamy polenta recipe.

Cherry blossom cookies 

I don’t think we have ever seen more beautiful cookies. Cherry blossom cookies, you guys! Incredible. We can’t wait to make these cherry blossom cookies from Nami at Just One Cookbook. We just ordered our pickled cherry blossoms from the amazing online store, Nihon Ichiban, recommended by Nami.

Pumpkin jam 

We are absolutely crazy about Fall pumpkin recipes at the moment. We love this pumpkin jam recipe from David Lebovitz. We also love reading about all of his French adventures and pouring over the gorgeous photos on his site.
